BUILDINGS AND GROUNDS

On the corner of Engineer and College streets, this 2.5-acre campus is anchored by the church and rectory.

The church was dedicated by Bishop Lewis Burton in 1906. In the 1980s a major renovation of the church building, parish hall, and rectory was completed.

The area behind the church and rectory, facing College Street, is
St. John's Park, a wooded lawn area with a new, spacious amphitheater and a new heated and air-conditioned Activities Barn.

A generous donation of the late Edwin and Dara Wooton, a 96-niche granite Columbarium and Memorial Garden add reverence and dignity to St. John's campus. This impressive place is reserved for reflection and spiritual connection.

Opposite the Memorial Garden is a Prayer Garden, a secluded place with a stone cross, a statue of the Virgin Mary, and a flow of water.

Inside the church building, off the Parish Hall, the Dr. Dane Chapel is open for daily worship. The Chapel was dedicated to The Rev. Dr. Robert Dane, a medical doctor and ordained Deacon who generously served this church for many years. The Chapel was dedicated to express gratitude and honor him upon his death in 2002.
