WORSHIP

Worship at St. John's is open to everyone. All visitors and newcomers are welcome.

Worship each Sunday is the reenactment of Our Lord
Jesus Christ's Last Supper (Holy Eucharist or Communion Service), just as the first Christians worshipped in the first centuries of the Church.

All baptized Christians of any denomination are invited to receive Holy Communion with us.

The worship service follows the Episcopal
Book of Common Prayer, Rite II. Following ancient traditions, portions of the liturgy are sung or chanted.

Some hymns during worship are sung without musical accompaniment, while others are accompanied by organ or guitar.

In addition to regular
Worship Services, special services are scheduled at various times throughout the year to coincide with the Episcopal Church's commemoration of certain events, such as Ash Wednesday and Good Friday.

Announcements of special services will be listed on the
"What's New" page of this site, so check back often to be sure you don't miss anything!
