ST. JOHN'S PARK

The area behind the church and rectory, facing College Street, is St. John's Park, a wooded lawn area with a new, spacious amphitheater and a new heated and air-conditioned Activities Barn.

The Park is a hub of perennial worship and social activities. Besides an annual Children's Fair, Vacation Bible School, symphony and play, St. John's largest outreach program is its ecumenical Gospel Jamboree, held 3-5 p.m. on the third Saturday of each month.

The Gospel Jamboree continually attracts some 1,500 people from many Christian denominations for worship and praise.

More than 70 Gospel singing groups perform annually at this free event which is open to all.

This monthly event also features preaching, testimonies, and free food, enhancing efforts to promote Christianity and church unity.

The Monthly Gospel Jamboree is held in the
Activities Barn during inclement weather. Other events and activities also take place here
throughout the year.

During warm weather, the
Monthly Gospel
Jamboree
is held outdoors at the Amphitheater (pictured below) on the 3rd Saturday each month.
